Although I did submit this letter to HR on the day of my departure, my only regret is that I was not bold enough to send to all in an email. That would of really made my day. Oh well, what is done is done. I will just have to be satisfied with giving this to HR.

Re: Resignation

I have been advised by many that it is not worth explaining why I have made the decision to leave the ***. I have thought about whether or not this is the right thing to do. I feel that it might be in the best interest of future employees of the *** if I write my experience. Hopefully these incidents will not be repeated and employees can be happy working here.
Up until the incident that occurred with RS, I felt that Human Resources was unapproachable. I wish I had known that was not the case because that might have prevented me from resigning.
During the 200th year anniversary celebration, because of the amount of work, I chose not to attend and stayed at my desk and did my work. RB was aware of this. Because of my lack of attendance to hear the band play, JK told JB that I should be fired. She made this comment within earshot of several people. I brought this to the attention of RB. I told him that I felt she had no place to worry about whether or not I was there. He told me that she did because she worked in EXO. My response to him was that if she were so concerned she should have come to me directly or she should have spoke to my immediate supervisor. He said he would talk to her.
This incident should have never taken place. JK is unprofessional and she should have never made those inappropriate comments. As to whether or not RB did in fact speak to her, I do not know. This matter was never discussed further.
After Esso resigned a replacement was never found. I have continually said to KW and to RB that this job needs to be done by one full-time person and one part-time person, at the least. For whatever reason, the decision was made for me to do this job by myself with the partial assistance of whoever was the assistant. That was not a good decision based on the amount of work. All the work that I do has deadlines: The reconciliation and distribution of monies needs to be done monthly. The acknowledgement of the donors has to be done weekly. The sorting and distributing of the checks to *** has to be done bi-weekly. The in-house processing of the checks has to be done weekly. The transferring of data from *** into *** has to be done weekly. The acknowledgment of all gifts has to be done weekly. Responding to callers and email has to be done daily. The volume of all work increases during the months of September to January. It is unreasonable to think that this can be done in a timely basis by one person. Although, KW say that she did not know that I needed help, that is entirely false. We, along with RB had a discussion about the increase of work during that time.
When RB gave me my review in the summer of 2006, I discussed with him a title change. He said that we would discuss this further and see how “we” could add further responsibilities to what I already had. Less than two weeks after this review and discussion, I found out by email that RB was going to be the new Vice President of the Data Center. I concluded that during my review he must have known about this. This showed a complete lack of respect for me. At the least he should have told me that it would be KW's responsibility for considering a title change and promotion.
I have trained numerous people to be able to work with me: Including KRM, IT, SO, AH, CT(temp), GM(temp), LJ(temp), and numerous other temps. I have managed all the temps that have worked with me and I have assisted several people in the use of ***Yet this has not been enough evidence to support why I should be a manager.
As you already know, there was an incident with RS. This is what finally brought me to my conclusion that I must resign from the ***.
I felt that he was very disrespectful. KW was extremely unsupportive and concluded that RS was “just doing his job”. I was first insulted by RS with his comment “What prevents you from taking the money?” and insulted again by KW's lack of support. Although I did receive support from Human Resources, I find that I can no longer continue working in this hostile environment.
To add insult to injury, I have learned from KW, that when I leave, I will be replaced by two people. I feel like I have been slaved without compensation. Had I known that this would be the outcome, I would have resigned sooner.
Also, it isn’t enough that I am leaving RS and JK continue to indirectly harass me. They have been questioning staff about my departure. They are concerned with any parties I am having. This is totally uncalled for. I cannot believe that these incidents continue to occur here. I am curious if the incidents between RS and JK can amount to a lawsuit. It is outrageous how they carry on.
With that said, I had no other choice but to resign from the ***. It is not clear that things will ever change here and I cannot and will not be a part of that.

The Grass has to be Greener on the other side.
So recently I decided to leave my job. Truth be told a long time ago I decided to leave my job. This is probably why I haven't been blogging. I was feeling so despondent about my old, I had no energy for anything. Most recently, I was offered a fabulous opportunity to leave my job (thank God for that) and move on to something better. I had my resignation ready for weeks as I had already claimed this job. I was just waiting for the deal to go thru. My letter was very liberating and the same day I was offered my new job, I wasted no time in saying good bye to my old job. I feel if I had stayed just one more minute, I might have had a heart attack. So here's the goodbye.

It is with firm conviction that I write this letter of resignation from ***.
Please understand that I have made my decision after considerable deliberation.
I am therefore resigning from ***. This will be effective June 14, 2007.
In the interim, I will work with you and AH to ensure a smooth transition.
I hope that I will have your support in making this change as easy as possible.
Thank you.
In response to my resignation, my old boss sent out this announcement.
Noelle will be leaving us to spend more time with her family. Her last day will be June 18th. Noelle has been with the *** for 6 years. Her dedication to caring about the details and taking care of our donors is legendary in our department. She will be missed.
Assuming the Associates position that Noelle is vacating is AH. Although she has been with the *** less than one year, AH has already proven herself. We are recruiting to replace AH.
Please join me in wishing both of them well.

I have to laugh at her use of the word legendary. You would think if I was so revered that they would not have tried to make my life impossible there. I guess she was trying to be nice. In any case good riddance. Wish i could say where this misery took place but I cant cuz there is still someone I like who works there and I wish her all the best cause she is really cool. I look forward to moving on because for me the grass has to be greener on the other side.

Is it his day or mine.

I have two beautiful baby boys. Baby Number#1 and Baby Number#2. Yesterday was Baby Number #1's birthday.
Baby number one is technically not a baby anymore, he is 17 years old. Wow. I thank GOD that he has so far been blessed with 17 years of life and I also thank GOD for being able to witness it. I am so proud of him. He is a great student, a good son, and a great person. I pray to that GOD continues to bless him all of his life.
Yesterday we celebrated by having breakfast together. Just him and I. Its a tradition. Then we went shopping. We capped it off by going to dinner with his brother and my partner. It was a great day.
This brings me to this thought: Was it his day or mine? For nine months, life was growing in my body. I formed an attachment and a bond with my son even before he was born. I nourished him and cared for him. Then 17 years ago, my water broke and I had labor pains. I had to push. I did all the work. So is it really his day. We celebrate the day he was born but we should actually celebrate me giving him life. It was hard work being pregnant and going through labor.
It was all worth it though because my son is FABULOUS and I love him forever unconditionally for the rest of my life. And he will always be my baby.

Valentine's Day

I used to love Valentine's day. It was a day where I would rate how much someone loved me by how much they spent or what they bought me or what they planned for the day. And I have had some memorable Valentines.
One of the most special Valentine's of all was with a different love (Jermaine aka "Maine Love"). He was still in High school, and 17 years old and I was about 21. Some might call this cradle robbing. But I beg to differ because he knew how to treat me right. Anyways, he invited me to his house for V-Day. When I got there, he was dressed in a suit and tie. The house was decorated with balloons and candles and he had cooked for me. 17 and he cooked for me. All I remember about the dinner was that there was cornish hens. Fabulous. I think that was the best Valentines I have ever had. Wow. It was nice. I felt special. And it was definitely unexpected.
Anyways back to the subject. I used to love V-Day, and with good reason. But as I have gotten older and have put more thought into it, I realize that love should not be celebrated on one day of the year. Love should be celebrated every day. Not everyone is loved and if someone is loving you and making you feel love then embrace that every day. Don't wait until V-day to send some dead a$$ flowers to the one you claim you love. Don't wait until V-day to go out to dinner. Don't wait until V-day to give a card. Don't wait until V-day to make someone feel special. Don't wait for V-day to show your love. Stop waiting for V-day.
Love and appreciate the one your with all the time. Not just on Valentine's because Valentine's day may never come.

Foolishness!!!
A co-worker of mine asked me to sign a petition to stop people from eating lunch at their desk. I said no thank you and she got up set. When I asked her for her reasons for doing this she replied that she can't take the smell of other peoples food (all the while her luch is exposed on her desk). I told her that some of us work through our lunch and on a day when it's 8 degrees outside why shouldn't people be able to return to there desk to have their lunch. She then went on to say that we have a cafateria for people to have luch (keep in mind I said co-worker). She then stomps off to ask the girl next door to me they same foolish question about her petition. She even had the nerve to pick up her banana and eat it while explaining her reason to the girl. When she tells her no she tells us that she will make sure she brings this up to the Executive office to have eating at your desk stopped. I personally hope she does go to them so that they will see what a fool she is and put her desk in the janitors room so that she will never have to smell other peoples lunch again. Will the madness ever stop!!! Let's see...TBC

Iraq War is no WWII, more like 'Nam

"December 7th, 1941 - a date which will live in infamy..." This speech was given to a joint session of Congress on the very next day of the Pearl Harbor attack. US casualties were heavy and included 2,403 dead; 1,178 wounded and President Roosevelt asked for a declaration of war and so the United States enters WWII. Fast forward to September 11th, 2001 (referred to as 9/11—pronounced "nine eleven") almost sixty years later. The casualties, similar; There were 2,973 fatalities with an additional 24 people remaining listed as missing. Approximately one month after the attacks, the United States led a broad coalition of international forces in the removal of the Taliban regime for harboring the al-Qeada organization. And now a little further into the future, we have the invasion of Iraq on March 20th, 2003. Which was sold partly as crucial to the successful resolution to the 9/11 attacks, which we now know that Saddam & Iraq had no part in. An invasion which has led to asymmetric warfare with the "Iraqi insurgency" and civil war between the Shiite and Sunni muslims, 3,080 US service members dead & 22,834 wounded in action (don't forget the civilian contractors and coalition forces, they have casualties also), 54,432 to 60,098 civilian deaths (according to the Iraq Body Count project as of January 24th, 2007), and this is all costing the American taxpayer over $360 billion as of January 22, 2007. There was something noble and honorable about WWII, an actual cause. Even the war against the Taliban and al-Qeada had meaning to it. Oh, but here is the Iraq war, a modern day Vietnam (in terms of the mighty US military machine getting it's butt kicked), guzzling on our financial resources and claiming thousands (who knows where the number stops) of lives - of our own children and of those who we are supposed to be liberating. With this war there will be no parades, ticker-tape, or even a memorable photograph for our troops returning home, just post traumatic stress, lack of a limb(s), and no support from their own government...just like Vietnam.
Poverty in America
This is all too common in this country, the poor are relegated to a spot on 20/20, 60 Minutes, or a simple blog. Regardless, they are still poor and not getting the help their country so easily and quickly distributes to other nations. Now there is nothing wrong with helping out others, but you have to wonder why the richest nation in the world has citizens who are starving for no good reason. The litte boy in the picture is not alone when it comes to not knowing about the concept of lunch or dinner, there is something seriously wrong with that. I want to scream because I don't know where to begin to help, but I hope that by posting blogs like this and talking to others, I will be enlightened as to what actions to take and you the reader will feel compassion to help.

Stop putting up with Adultery
I have been thinking alot about adultery lately and I have come to certain conclusions:
1. Adultery is unforgiveable. Meaning you should let his cheating a&& go. If he gets caught cheating once either he has been cheating all along and/or he is more prone to doing it again.
1. Men cheat because the mistress has a better attitude than the wife/girlfriend. Hello, the wife is doing all the cooking, cleaning, and picking up after the man. She may not always be in the best of moods or ready to drop it like its hot all the damn time cuz she is too damn tired.
2. The mistress has a good deal. She has no wifely duties and doesnt have to deal with the toilet seat being left up, the toothpaste being squeezed from the middle of the tube, you get what I am saying etc, etc.
3.All is well until said husband is busted and she gets the beatdown of her life by the wife. and then the husband becomes her live in because the wife kicked his sorry, trifiling a&& out. Then he becomes her problem.
.4And just when the mistress thinks she has won the grand prize......the cycle continues.

"I've said thousands of times I'm not God."
"I've said thousands of times I'm not God.", says the phony psychic Sylvia Browne. The author of over a dozen "psychic" materials (books, CDs, etc.) was proven wrong the other day. Her abilities failed her and now she is being blamed for the delay in the return of the missing child. Shame on you for falling for this nonsense. Now that she has admitted to not being GOD, maybe you lost souls out there will stop putting your faith and trust in the fallible, and hopefully you can actually save a few dollars to spend on something more worthwhile. She told them boy was dead
Crystal ball fails psychic in Mo. kidnap
BY CHRISTINA BOYLE DAILY NEWS WRITER
Montel Williams' psychic pal Sylvia Browne told the family of missing Shawn Hornbeck he was dead shortly after the Missouri boy vanished - and later allegedly offered to help locate his body for $700 per half hour.
The popular TV clairvoyant appeared on the "Montel Williams Show" in February 2003, four months after Shawn disappeared, and told Pam and Craig Akers she believed their son was "no longer with us."
She also advised that his body could be found in a wooded area 20 miles from their Richwoods, Mo., home, near two large jagged boulders.
Shawn, now 15, was found alive and well last Friday, living just miles away with a man now charged with snatching the boy when he was 11.
Browne's "vision" of his death caused search teams to redirect their efforts and drew dozens of calls from the public who believed they lived near the woods matching Browne's descriptions.
The family also claims the psychic then tried to cash in, which Browne vigorously denies.
"She called Pam and Craig about one month after the show and pretty much offered her services to continue their discussion for a fee," said Wayne Evans, a spokesman for the Shawn Hornbeck Foundation.
"Pam was that desperate that if she had had $700 in her bank account she would have put it on the table. We are talking about a mother who would have sold her soul to have her boy back."
"Everybody was angry," he added. "Sylvia Browne's name was never brought up again until Shawn was found. He's home now, and that's all that matters."
Browne, a regular guest on the "Montel" show, apologized for her misfire, exposed first by StopSylviaBrowne.com, a blog dedicated to tracking the psychic's every blunder.
"I'm terribly sorry that this happened," she told the Daily News. "But I think my body of work stands by itself. I've broken case after case."
"I think it's just cruel to jump on this one case in which I was wrong," she added defensively. "I've said thousands of times I'm not God."
She also denied ever offering her services to Shawn's family for cash.
"There's never been a case that I've ever charged for a missing child," Browne said. "I would never do that. Never, never."
A spokeswoman for Williams said the talk show host was taping more shows and unavailable for comment. Browne was his only guest on yesterday's show.
Michael Devlin, the 300-pound pizza parlor manager charged with kidnapping Shawn four years ago and a second boy just last week, is to be arraigned today in Missouri courtroom.
He is also under investigation for the disappearance of another boy, Charles Arlin Henderson, 16 years ago.

It seemed like a good idea.
I love the idea of a blog where I can just write about anything thats in my mind. Sometimes I just need to vent and dont necessarily vent out loud because that can get out of hand. But now I find that I want to talk about things that I cant necessarily put in the blog. Thats because I dont want people to recognize themselves in my blog. I guess its my fault for sharing the blog in the first place. But most of the stuff I want to write about is shareable. And I like sharing. But as for the other stuff that I want to say I guess the only solution to that is to write an anonymous blog.

Who Really Needs To Go???
I'm not saying Saddam Hussein didn't deserve what he got, but if you look at his record as a leader and humanitarian [Iraq was providing social services that were unprecedented among Middle Eastern countries. Saddam established the "National Campaign for the Eradication of Illiteracy" and the campaign for "Compulsory Free Education in Iraq,"...the government established universal free schooling up to the highest education levels; hundreds of thousands learned to read in the years following the initiation of the program. The government also supported families of soldiers, granted free hospitalization to everyone, and gave subsidies to farmers. Iraq created one of the most modernized public-health systems in the Middle East, earning Saddam an award from the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization] you will begin to wonder why and who are we really fighting against. Do the research, you'll be surprised.
Omar al-Bashir, Sudan
Since February 2003, Bashir’s campaign of ethnic and religious persecution has killed at least 180,000 civilians in Darfur in western Sudan and driven 2 million people from their homes. The good news is that Bashir’s army and the Janjaweed militia that he supports have all but stopped burning down villages in Darfur. The bad news is why they’ve stopped: There are few villages left to burn. The attacks now are aimed at refugee camps. While the media have called these actions “a humanitarian tragedy,” Bashir himself has escaped major condemnation. In 2005, Bashir signed a peace agreement with the largest rebel group in non-Islamic southern Sudan and allowed its leader, John Garang, to become the nation’s vice president. But Garang died in July in a helicopter crash, and Bashir’s troops still occupy the south.

Kim Jong-il, North Korea
While the outside world focuses on Kim Jong-il’s nuclear weapons program, domestically he runs the world’s most tightly controlled society. North Korea continues to rank last in the index of press freedom compiled by Reporters Without Borders, and for the 34th straight year it earned the worst possible score on political rights and civil liberties from Freedom House. An estimated 250,000 people are confined in “reeducation camps.” Malnourishment is widespread: According to the United Nations World Food Program, the average 7-year-old boy in North Korea is almost 8 inches shorter than a South Korean boy the same age and more than 20 pounds lighter. His annual purchases of Hennessy's cognac reportedly total to $700,000, while the average North Korean earns the equivalent of $900 per year.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran
Ahmadinejad is an outspoken critic of the Bush administration, is supportive of strengthened relations with Russia, and has refused to stop the nuclear program of Iran against the wishes of the United Nations. He was widely condemned for his statements approving the notion that Israel "must be wiped off the map" and repeatedly describing the Holocaust as a "myth", although he has insisted that he is not antisemitic. Several former hostages from the American Embassy takeover of 1979 have named Ahmadinejad as being involved in the hostage crisis. Former hostage David Roeder in particular has been adamant about Ahmadinejad's role, saying that Ahmadinejad, in an effort to get him to talk, threatened to kidnap his son back in the USA. He said, that "the wave of the Islamic revolution" would soon "reach the entire world."

Give me space PLEASE!
What the…
Have you ever gotten on an empty subway train, sit down, get comfortable and pull out and get into a book or newspaper article then slowly you notice your ass is cramped-the hell-up and you’re hardly able to turn a page! You were sitting on the train just as comfortable as you can possibly get until you reach your destination and some how the people getting on after you make themselves comfortable at your expense. HOW THE HELL DOES THAT HAPPEN? That’s get to me in the worst way. Do you mean I get so focused that I don’t notice the person trying to squeeze there ass into a small space? I might just have to stop reading on the train and check that shit for real. And don’t think for a moment it’s the big ass people alone either. The stupid ass nerds, lazy folks and tall men (who spread eagle when they sit down) do the shit also! I have to come up with a plan. TBC

Dial 911 in case of emergency.
This is just the most ridiculous story. Did the nurse really feel that she had to speak to a principal in order to decide whether or not to call 911 for this child? What I want to know is who is this nurse? What school did she go to? Why did she think that she needed the principals permission? Not only should she and the principal be fired but they should face criminal charges. What they did was criminal. She should of used better judgement. She should of made the 911 call regardless of the principals rules. There was an emergency going on. She neglected the needs of a patient. The family should also get more than the 2 million dollars they are suing for. My condolences go out to the Martinez family.

911 breach in son death enrages dad BY JOSE MARTINEZ
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER
Tuesday, January 9th, 2007
The father of an 11-year-old boy who died following an asthma attack at a Brooklyn school was disgusted to learn yesterday that all city schools are supposed to follow a rule that could have helped save his son's life.
Shawn Martinez sighed when told that in case of a medical emergency, school staffers are required to call 911 before trying to locate a principal.
As reported in the Daily News, Martinez has filed a $2 million lawsuit against the city, two nurses and their employer, alleging that nurses at Public School 20 in Clinton Hill didn't call 911 because they could not find the principal while his son, Shawn, suffered an asthma attack in February 2003.
"How can you just do the exact opposite of what you're supposed to do?" Martinez said.
According to Chancellor's Regulation A-412, school staffers must call 911 in a medical emergency and then find a principal, who should go to the scene with a "trained health professional."
"The principal should be contacted after 911 has been called, not the other way around," said David Cantor, a spokesman for the Education Department.
In sworn testimony, two nurses said they were barred from calling 911 without first alerting the principal, who is not identified by name in court papers.
According to Education Department records, the principal in 2003 was Brenda Williams-Jackson. A woman of the same name now heads an elementary school in Nassau County but did not return calls yesterday.
"I can understand the [Education Department] waking up now and going, 'That's an insane policy,'" said the family's attorney, David Dean, of the law firm Sullivan Papain. "But we know what the policy was at this school in February of 2003."
An official with the city's Law Department said the school "acted appropriately" in treating the ailing boy.
"We are confident that when all the facts come out, they will demonstrate that the city and the Department of Education acted appropriately," said Mark Palomino, chief of the agency's special litigation unit.
Shawn's mother, Gabrielle Walton, called 911 after picking the boy up from school and trying to treat him at home.
"He told me that he was going to die and he couldn't breathe," Walton said in a deposition. "I said, 'Shawnie, please don't die on me.'"
The boy was pronounced dead at St. Mary's Hospital just over two hours after he set foot in the school clinic.
"I just really, really, really do not want this to happen to anyone else," said Shawn Martinez. "I really would not wish this on anyone."

I love that I am employed
I love that I am employed and need to be so I can take care of my business. BUT I do not love some things that happen at my job. There are certain things that happen here that truly get on my nerves. And I know its not just limited to this spot but since its happening here, I would like to highlight a couple of things:
This just happened today:
People here normally take lunch between 12 to 1pm or between 1 to 2pm. This means unless its a dire emergency (and I dont work in a hospital) you shouldnt be f*cking with anybody during those hours. It really pisses me off to the highest level of pissetivity when I take lunch at my desk. Now today I am clearly on lunch cuz the sandwich is in my hand inches from my mouth. So Boss B*tch asks me for a report that she cant seem to print on her computer. That is not the time to ask me for no fucking report. What I wanted to say is BITCH, GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME, CANT YOU SEE THAT I AM FUCKING EATING. So what that she is my boss and has the power to give me the big boot right in the crack of my a&&, but what the f*ck, am I not entitled to lunch? So what happens.....i can feel myself getting more and more agitated as she is speaking so I have to literally sit on my hand to keep from tapping. I get a napkin and cover my sandwich thats as big as a DAGWOOD and she wants to apologize and tell me I can get the report for her when I am done. No b*tch, we about to be done right now. Here is your f*cking report, now bounce.....And if eating at my desk means I can and will be disturbed then it needs to be added to my work manual. Otherwise step the f*ck off!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since I am already fuming, I might as well gripe about other sh*t:
The other day, me and a coworker were going back and forth snapping on each other. She likes to think that I am hooker cuz I am too fabulous for her range of understanding. Another coworker up in the mix overhears and gets a kick out of it. Later in the day, he proceeds to ask of me what time can he meet me under the bridge. Well, I must say that I had to let that little piece of sh*t know not to ever disrespect me like that again. I told him 'Dont fucking play with me like that. Thats between me and her' He apologized and all but what I dont get is what made him feel so comfortable in the first f*cking place. Step the f*ck off, mini you.
There is this older chick that works here who is ALWAYS up in the business. Everybody's business. This old b*tch was mad because I didnt attend the 100 years celebration. Well guess the eff what, Not only was I NOT interested in attending but I was at my desk busy working and I did not have time to listen to some unknown low budget group perform for the company. Granted I could hear them from my desk and they were kind of good, but not the good where I would run out and get a bootleg of their music. Anyways, she was peeved and so she suggested to the 2nd in command of the whole company that I should be fired. Boy, I tell you, some of these people here are so lucky that I need to be employed cuz if I didnt have any sense, I would of straight smacked that hoe in her mouth. How dare she! And when I took it to my boss, I kind of felt like he didnt have my back. That disrespectful b*tch is probably sucking everybody off the way she has pull around here.
I got myself all riled up and I havent even finished lunch.
To be continued...........

My New Theme Song
Have you heard the song called 'Yesterday' by MaryMary? What an amazing song!!! The lyrics move me and fill me with the spirit. It is my new theme song for the rest of my days.
Yesterday by Mary Mary
I had enough heartache
and enough headaches
I've had so many ups and downs
Don't know how much more i can take
See i decided
that i cried my last tear yesterday
Either i'm going to trust you
or i may as well walk away
'cause stressing don't make it better
Don't make it better, no way
See i decided
that i cried my last tear yesterday
Yesterday,
Yesterday,
i decided to put my trust in you
Yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday
I realized
that you will being me through
There ain't nothing to hard for my god, no
Any problems that i have
He's greater greater than them all,
so
I decided that i cried my last tear
yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday
I decided that I am gonna put my trust in you
Yesterday
Yesterday
Yesterday
I realized that you would bring me through
There aint nothing too hard for my God
any problems thay I have he is greater than them all
so I decided that I cried my last tear yesterday

My 7 for '07 New Year's Resolutions

I have decided this year to actually make a list of resolutions and try to follow it for once, instead of not having a list and spend a whole year trying to remember what I said I wanted to do. Plus you the reader will see the list and can be my "failsafe" to ensure that I don't transgress against my own commandments. Maybe, if you see me violating one of the resolutions, you can "check" me and say "yo, remember you said you resolved not to 'road rage' (resolution #2) this year. They are not listed in any particular order, in case you were wondering. Anyway, I encourage you the reader to make a list of your own for your own personal improvement or you could just stay the same old f**ked up you for 2007.
My 7 for '07 New Year's Resolutions:1. Eat healthier - I'm not talking an Olsen twin or Nicole Richie diet here, but seriously to eat smarter/healthier. Seriously, who needs to eat bacon & sausage everyday. Hmmm, bacon....
2. Stop the Road Rage - This may be the hardest stunt that I will ever attempt, ever, but I have to stop yelling at little old couples who are just happy to still be alive & driving. It will really be hard to not rage on those idiots who drive way too slow in the fast lane or ride in your blindspot for no real reason, but I will give it my best effort...trust me though, on December 31 I will be driving somewhere for the hell of it just to let out one last, "Move bitch, get out the way, get out the way bitch, get out the way".
3. Use Tact - I have to be mindful not so much of what I say, but how I say it and of course who I'm saying it to. Like, I can't tell my boss that he is incompetent and acts like a bitch (FYI, he's not my boss anymore) even if it is true. Hasn't it been said that you can say anything as long as you say it with a smile, I'll try that. Hey you incompetent f**king dumbass (while smiling). Asking for a raise would've been a resolution but I haven't worked in one place for at least a year in a while, so I thought an attitude adjustment was more important.
4. Be nicer to people - This is very vague resolution, but it gives me the wiggle room I need. I have to stop letting the elevator door close on people I see walking right up to it. Better yet I have to stop staring them down as they walk up to the elevator while cheering silently for the door to close, hurry up close don't let that ni**a get in, hahaha.
5. Get out of Debt - I have to pay these bills, period. Can you believe I let some crazy a** bitch run my damn credit up (her sh*t was really f**ked up)? Needless to say, I cut the wacko loose, but I'm stuck with the debt. Why not get her to pay for her own sh*t you may ask, well she is crazy for real and this is one of those lesser of two evil situations, knamean.
6. Read more than just the Sunday Comics - It's not like I don't read serious sh*t, but I just haven't for a while. I have Bill Clinton's "My Life" on CD and still haven't heard/read it yet (got it when it came out in 2004). I have like a stack of books that I have gathered for the past couple of years and I really need to read them, especially since I don't have a bookshelf, they're just sitting on my dresser taking up all the damn space. I hate those f**king books.
7. Blog more - I was recently threatened to be removed from this blog for not contributing enough. I don't take kindly to threats, but because I like the administrator of this blog, I won't go all Jules Winfield (Sam Jackson) from "Pulp Fiction" on their a**. I will try my best to contribute more frequently (more than twice every 5 months).
There it is, my 7 for '07, now go and make your own list. And don't be copying my sh*t either. HA HA HA MERRY NEW YEAR !!! (in my best Eddie Murphy impression from "Trading Places")
Things that make me go hmmmmmmm
So it was really important for law enforcement officials to have Joanne Chesimard's aka Assata Shakur name removed from the City College Campus Center because she allegedly attempted to murder a white NJ Trooper by shooting him in the head on May 2, 1973, but its okay for us to have an ENTIRE day off, every year, honoring the memory of Christopher Columbus, who was a THIEF, a RAPIST, and MURDERER of American Indians.
Things that make me say WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is she or isnt she married to James Brown?
So it seems James Brown and Tomi Rae Hynie were NOT legally married. I wonder if James Brown knew that before he died. He actually exchanged vows with this woman, had a child with her and they lived together. She is now being disrespected and being called a guest at his home. How dare the lawyers do that to her. Isnt it terrible that she is in mourning, AND now she has to deal with this extra issue. Personally, I dont care if she was his LEGAL wife, I think she was still his wife all the same. If he didnt have money, I dont think anyone would care or would make noise about it. But thats how our society is---ALL ABOUT THE MONEY.
I hope they let you RIP, James Brown.
My condolences go out to his WIFE, Tami Rae Brown and his family.

Even death hasn't ended James Brown's legendary woman problems.
The Godfather of Soul's legal team yesterday declared his fourth marriage illegal. They have barred the mother of Brown's 5-year-old son from his South Carolina estate.
Lawyer Buddy Dallas told The Associated Press that Tomi Rae Hynie, the singer's partner of more than five years, had been no more than a "guest" of Brown's at times.
"I suppose it would mean she was, from time to time, a guest in Mr. Brown's home," he said.
Hynie, 36, was still married to another man when she exchanged vows with Brown in 2001, making them invalid, Dallas said. Although that marriage later ended in divorce, Hynie never repeated the nuptials with Brown, he said.
But Hynie said she had documentation to prove she and the soul sensation were legally wed.
"I just want this resolved," she told The AP.
"He was a difficult man to live with, but he was a great man. I was the only one who could handle James."
Hynie arrived at the Beech Island home shortly after Brown's Christmas Day death to find the gates padlocked. Security guards had orders to keep her out.
"This is my home," she told a reporter. "I don't have any money. I don't have anywhere to go."
But Dallas said Brown had left the property in trust for his children.
He said of the lockout yesterday, "It's not intended and, I hope, not interpreted to be an act of unkindness or an act of a lack of sympathy. It's not a reflection on her as an individual."
Dallas said Hynie had another home in Beech Island. He said she hadn't seen Brown for several weeks.
The Rev. Al Sharpton, who calls Brown the father he never had and who is in Georgia to organize funeral details, said yesterday he did not want to get involved in the dispute.
"I have enormous respect for all of the Brown family," he said.
"But this is between attorneys and nothing to do with his kids or with me. For us, it is a time to mourn and to celebrate his life."
The singer and Hynie's tumultuous relationship included a 2004 arrest after Brown pushed her to the floor and threatened to kill her.
I hope they let you RIP, James Brown.
My condolences go out to his WIFE, Tami Rae Brown and his family.

Homeless and Cold

Today I woke up and its 20 degrees outside, and the wind chill is making it feel like it is 2 degrees. 2o degrees is way more cold than I want to feel, but 2 degrees, c'mon, 2 degrees is definitely stay at home and only venture outside if you have to. Which brings me to the homeless. I feel so much sorrow when I see the homeless especially in this weather. Its bad enough that the homeless are homeless, but homeless and cold, and most probably hungry. It brings tears to my eyes that there are people living in the streets and suffering these harsh weather conditions. I am thankful that I have a roof over my head and I pray that the homeless find shelter and food. We, who are fortunate, should always keep the less fortunate in mind. We should support organizations that help the less fortunate because our government is not fully addressing the needs of all the people. No matter how little you think you have, there is someone else who has less.
Remember that.
